Malmö Live, the best view of Malmö

The second time I went to Malmö, I stayed at Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live. I know for sure: this is the hotel with the best view of Malmö.

Skyscraper

In addition to the Turning Torso, there is another skyscraper in Malmö: Malmö Live. The Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live as the full name of the hotel sounds, is 85 meters high – stunning views guaranteed! This hotel has 444 rooms (including 9 suites), a spa and gym, a sky bar and a top of the bill concert hall. The presidential suite of Malmö Live was named after the hero of Malmö: Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Malmhattan

The hotel is located between Västra Hamnen and the old town, only a few steps away from Malmö central station. Malmö Live brings a new vibe to the district. The locals call this new hotspot Malmhattan. I can not blame them, the area is absolutely alive!

What. A. View!

The hotel lobby is a feast for the eyes. Yes, the Swedes know how to do design. 3 lifts take the guests to their room. I had a corner room on the 21st floor and I can only recommend it! I was longing for the beautiful view and the reality even surpassed the expectations! The first thing I did was open all the curtains so I could fully enjoy the view. It was really a joy to just lie in bed or sit in the designer’s chair and look out the windows!

The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows. Besides a super good bed (slept great!) and a design chair (I want one at home!), there also was a desk, a smart tv and ample storage in the room.

In the bathroom there was a bath with integrated shower. Of course there were plenty of toiletries available. And the towels… I don’t think I’ve ever had such soft towels!

Breakfast at Malmö Live

After a refreshing night’s sleep, a full breakfast buffet waited. There are two levels in the breakfast room. When I was there, it was pretty busy but everything was replenished quickly. For their youngest guests, there was even a separate children’s breakfast buffet.

Skybar

Those who do not stay overnight, should at least visit the Skybar on the 25th floor for a 360 degree view of the city. A master chef is assuring the high level of the restaurant. Making reservations is recommended.

I would very much like to go back to Clarion Hotel Malmö Live, preferably in combination with a concert in their very well-built concert halls!

How do you reach Malmö Live?

Clarion Hotel Malmö Live is located near Malmö Central Station. Take the main exit, walk a bit to the right, cross the street and you’re there.

If you come by car, you can park in the parking lot of the hotel (entrance Beringsgatan – reservations cannot be made in advance, costs 220 SEK per day) or at one of these 3 car parks in the area:
